Never send money or share personal or finantial details. Every year, in the US alone, $304 million are lost to online scams.
Stop communicating immediately with anyone who makes you feel pressured, uneasy or unsafe.
When going on dates be sure to:
- Let a friend know when, where and who you are meeting
- Never leave your drinks or personal possessions unattended
- Meet preferably in a public venue
- Arrange your own transportation
- Control your alcohol or drugs intake
- Cut the date short if you feel uneasy, unsafe or pressured
If you engage in sexual activity, always use protection such as condoms, dental dams and lubrication, if required, to lower the risk of infection
